Begun in 2002, Iceland Express utilized wet-leased aircraft to provide low-fare service to and from Iceland. Initially, Astraeus, and then later JetX operated the flights, before Hello of Switzerland took over the contract with MD-90s. The four MD-90s were operated in between 2006 and 2008, and all four eventually ended up with Delta Air Lines.
