SmartWings is a low-cost airline based in Prague, Czech Republic. The airline started operations in 2004, and is wholly owned by the Czech airline Travel Service, which in itself is a subsidiary of Icelandair Group. SmartWings operated four 737-500s, two ex-Lufthansa from 2004 until 2005, and two ex-United from 2008 up until 2012.
