How to Decal a Hood:
The Template Method Get a perfect fit for your engine hood with this trick:
- Mask: Apply tape over the hood. Use a toothpick to trace the panel lines.
- Template: Cut the tape along the lines to create a custom pattern.
- Transfer: Stick this tape pattern onto the BACK of the decal sheet.
- Cut: Cut the decal around the tape. Now it matches the hood perfectly.
- Apply: Slide the decal on and smooth it out with a flat brush.
